COVID-19 Emergency Relief grant application now open for farmers

Applications open until all funds are awarded

For most of us, March marks a full year since COVID-19 upended our lives, businesses, and communities. Over the last year, farmers and agricultural producers have faced significant financial difficulties due to disrupted markets, concerns over employee safety, and unexpected costs required to pivot market channels. Although we’ve seen COVID-19 aid direct payments for farmers through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Coronavirus Food Assistance Program, many farmers are still struggling. RAFI-USA recognizes that farmers across the country are facing extreme difficulties, especially as they start covering operating costs for the upcoming growing season. To help lessen the financial toll, RAFI-USA is distributing emergency relief grants. There are two types of funding available; either for household expenses or farm-related expenses. Farmers may only apply for one of the following grant relief options. To access the application, see the full article here.
